Microblading Post-Care

It always surprises me that women who get their brows done are constantly trying to push the line on what they should or shouldn't do.

Don't fall into this category!

  • Fist Hour Pat the area with a clean tissue every 10-15 minutes
  • Days 1-6: Apply a thin layer with clean hands 3-4 times a day
  • Days 1-7: Gently wash the area with mild soap & filtered water (new water bottle, only for this purpose) morning & night, dry the eyebrows with paper towel with soft taps
  • From 8-10: Only if you need it applies a thin layer of natural oil like rosehip, argan or almond except for coconut oil and jojoba oil, with freshly washed hands one time at the day only. DO NOT use Vaseline or mineral oils. The amount will be  1 drop for both eyebrows.  If you have thick or a lot of hair then separate the eyebrows hair and allow the oil to be evenly distributed in the skin area

Tips

  • Hands must be freshly clean every time you need to apply products
  • Avoid the use of abrasive washcloths or sponges
  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss!
  • COMPLETELY avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure is completely finished.  Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyperpigmentation and scarring.  (Use cap and sunglasses when you are outdoor).
  • Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 3 weeks.
  • Avoid sweating for a full 10 days. Any physical effort, gym, hot weather, any other activity that may cause sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor results. You can exercise only once your brows are completely healed (meaning you don't have any scabs or open wounds).
  • Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days. Do sleep on your back. Do put small bandaids on the ends if you are a side sleeper.
  • Keep your bangs and hair pulled back from your face for the first 10 days.
  • NO makeup to be used on the treated area or eyelids for two weeks.
  • NO skincare products to be used for two weeks.
  • NO facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
  • NO botox for 4 weeks. We recommend that it's best to wait until after your touch up heals to get Botox.
  • After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading.
  • Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 4 weeks after your last touch up procedure.
  • Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area (Fraxel laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.
  • Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to faster pigment fading.

Please note:

  • Additional information or modification of the Prepare Care and Post Care dependent on each particular case will be informed to each person.
  • Constant communication with your technician is the best thing you can do. If it is necessary the technician asks you to send her pictures and communicate your symptoms.
  • Please don’t judge your brows until they are completely healed. Even in some situations after your touchup, they will still need some tweaking to make them perfect and this is normal. It is a complete process but so worth it in the end.
  • Another important factor, which is somewhat out of your control, is an infection. Infection can cause issues with pigment retention but shouldn't be a big problem if you follow the aftercare instructions.
  • Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first two weeks. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures also you can see how the brows become "patchy" as some scabbing occurs and scabs flake off. During this period it is CRITICAL that you do NOT pick off the scabs because you run the risk of pulling the pigment out.
  • Due to varying degrees of difficulty of applications associated with skin texture, scarring, anti-aging laser treatments, medications, smoking, sun or tanning bed exposure and use of hydroxy acids, and we cannot guarantee "perfect" results in two visits. Therefore, if irregularities in pigment color develop from the above-mentioned conditions, additional procedures may be necessary. These conditions also affect the longevity of the permanent cosmetic, causing some persons to require maintenance sooner than others.

Permanent makeup is NOT recommended for any clients who are or have:
